The enchantment of three centuries' of history makes this family-owned hotel a true gem in Southern Sweden. In the 18th century, the hotel functioned as a trading post, and we have preserved as much as possible from the building's roots.
The hotel's two buildings are connected by a lush garden surrounded by half-timbered buildings, cobblestones, and a stately pear tree. In summer, this makes for a delightful oasis that greets you with birdsong and flowers.
Sekelgården is located right in the heart of the old city centre. A stone's throw away you will find the theatre, the main square (stortorget), and the Maria Church. A few minutes' walk from there will take you through the picturesque alleys to the marina, the main beach, the monastery, the pedestrian street (Stora Östergatan), and the station. You can rent bicycles from us to further explore the city and its surroundings. One of our most popular bike excursions will take you to the idyllic beach in Sandskogen.
